Unexplained logo change to Dogecoin cryptocurrency image by Twitter

 Approximately 24 hours after Twitter switched its traditional blue bird logo with a poorly cropped image of a dog meme related to cryptocurrencies, the company's billionaire proprietor, Elon Musk, has not given any clarification or justification for the modification. The replacement of the blue bird logo on Twitter's homepage and loading screen with the shiba inu picture associated with Dogecoin memecoin cryptocurrency was noticed by users on Monday in the United States. 

For a considerable period, neither Twitter nor Musk acknowledged the modification. Additionally, at the same time, an apparently unrelated bug arose, causing confusion among users of Twitter's interface by removing the capability to distinguish tweets that had been retweeted onto their timeline. Ultimately, in typical Musk style, he tweeted a meme highlighting the change and, as the closest thing to an explanation he has given, recalled a follower's joke from March 2022 that he should acquire Twitter and replace the logo with Doge.
